Maybe 5 is my lucky number. Maybe the fifth time I try Gate of Madness HM I will be able to complete it. I can't complete it on my own so I need help from the guild. I simply can't defeat Shiro, everything else I can do so I would like some help on that mission. Was thinking we give it a try Saturday 13 March and kick Shiro and Lich back to... well a place beyond hell since they pretty much are in hell allready. I'm gonna make a consumable kit for the trip and anyone who wishes to join is welcome.

Probably won't be able to make it considering I have a fair amount of work to be doing and its mothers day, but I'm happy to give some advice. Seeing as though the fight is no different to him at the end of factions, I just used a similar concept to that (obviously with a few changes because you have to fight through a whole mission before reaching him this time). When I completed it on my assassin, I carried stance removal (for battle scars), in the form of Jagged strike > wild strike and death blossom along with crit defences for perma blocking and simply kept him attacking me, by flagging my heroes just out of aggro. Then micro'ing their skills as needed.

Cause your a Ranger you can use something similar with escape/lightning reflexes to achieve a similar level of blocking. A simple chain like the one above would be simple enough to keep him from using battle scars too effectively. The heroes I used when I completed were fairly standard, SS necro with reckless haste and barbs for the added damage. I also carried a domination Mesmer with a few interupts and empathy along with Mantra of recovery so empathy was always actively dealing damage and to top it off a standard healer... Monk/necro or ele, it really doesn't matter. Strength of Honour was something I took along on the SS necro to boost the damage further.

Infact if anything the final fight at the end of factions may of been tougher because he had extra skills and summoned shiro'ken =/. Anyway good luck!

Sorry about not being there when I said I would but stuff came up and a deer lost it's life. Anyway new try Thursday 6 gmt. I know how to beat Shiro, the thing is getting there with the things you need when you are alone:P. Dual Sabway didn't work and Discordway with PI and henchies didn't work. The thing you really need is either SS and alot of PI or a meele human player with Wild Blow to keep his most annoying stance off. Read here if you plan on coming and want some more info. I can bring spike ranger, AOE ranger, PVE Thumper with Wild Blow and other wierd skills and if heroes are needed discordway or Sabway.
